Poster for the Conference "Resistance and otherness" Drawing

As part of the 9 th days of study in social psychology, the University of Western Brittany and the Centre for Research in Psychology, Cognition and Communication organized a symposium entitled "Resistance and Otherness." This will take place Thursday 18 and Friday, November 19 at the Faculty Victor Segalen Brest.

In March 2008, the Faculty Victor Segalen had contacted the Collectif Donjon to use a photo montage of myself and Catherine.P to illustrate the poster Conference "Facets of Homophobia" (see below).

Last September Christèle Fraïssé, Lecturer in Social Psychology and organizer of the study days, asked me to use the table " Quiet City" for the conference " resistance and otherness. " This is of course with great pleasure that I this new event which I now present the poster. For my part I only made the original picture, layout and typography was created by Gilles Couix, graphic Faculty Victor Segalen.

Beginning a new drawing large

Since the beginning of October, I realize the sketch of a new publication that is distributed over four grape leaf format (45 x 64 cm each) a total dimension of 128 x 90 cm. I chose here to do a fairly elaborate sketch, parts of the final design will likely remain in that form, and the evolution of this phase I decide what tools to use later. For now I think I would use watercolor inks and ink pen and brush, and can be felt posca for certain areas of the drawing, but it is still unclear.

Meanwhile here's a first look at this project that might take me some time, a detailed view of the character I worked on first, located on the lower leaf left.

Photos Show comics Amiens - 5 & 6 June 2010

I have taken some time on writing my blog recently, and I do not had the opportunity to show you pictures of 15 ° Visit Comic Strip Amiens I attended the weekend of 5 & 6 June with the association Zavata .

This was an opportunity for Lunatine , Catherine.P , G and I install a shop and an exhibition stand within the space Fanzine [ University Library - Pole Cathedral]. It was an introduction including Review Zavata # 01 and the book "Maelstrom " published by G editions of The Last Shout, and various products from shops and Zavata Lunatine.

This weekend we were able to work again alongside Publishing Monster, but also to meet with independent publishers from all over France. Between collectors of zines, comics fans and curious of all kinds, this show gave us the opportunity to make some signings, an exercise that is far from clear when it was not used ...

Residence Zavata Esserres to paint and paper on wood panel plant

September 25 to October 3, I was residence in Esserres with G & Catherine.P association Zavata to achieve a set of designs presented in the entrance of the greenhouse 2. All jobs from this residence were created in connection with recycled papers and papers designed by Catherine plants with different plants collected from the site Lavacquerie.

I have worked for me a painting mixed media on wood panel 80x40 cm, in association with collages of Catherine. A few days before the start of the residence had begun to prepare the bottom with gesso, acrylic paint, bombs and modeling paste ; Catherine she had pasted on sheets of paper recycled in the traditional way, some of these sheets with vegetable inlaid.

During the week of residency, I added to the table different drawings with watercolor inks and markers posca and various effects of spray paint, glue and Catherine paper hazel leaves produced by him.

Here are some pictures of collective creation that we conducted with G and Catherine.P at the residence of artist Zavata / Mercurocrom at The Brickyard , Amiens of 7 to 12 June 2010.

We worked on a board of cons-plated 120 x 180 cm, with acrylic, spray paint, collage of photographs, stencils and markers posca . This piece was surrounded by a installation consists of spheres Catherine.P Japanese paper suspended from the ceiling.

New Residence Zavata Esserres to September 25 to October 3, 2010

Saturday 25 September to Sunday, October 3, 2010, I am prompted with Catherine.P and G association Zavata to participate in a new artist residency at the Esserres Lavacquerie (60).

After completing in 2008 a series of murals in the "cold" (cf. Residence Shadows), we take care this time the space of the second greenhouse in order to carry out various installations and graphic design collective, especially based on recycled paper and paper plants made by Catherine.


You can come and discover throughout this week our creations in progress and the work Lunatine, Toune and reflux, and the event will conclude Saturday, October 2 through an opening in the presence of artists.
