Do you think I will be put in a Swedish jail if I claim here I do not really like the work of Björn Yttling as a producer? To me, he is the opposite of the great Steve Albini. Sure, he did a very good job with the first Lykke Li album, but, in general, I find the records he produces much too clean (just listen to the latest Sarah Blasko album he produced and you will understand my point).
So when I heard he was the puppetmaster behind the new Firefox AK , I was a bit scared. However, Yttling and Miss Kellerman match with eachother. Of course, Boom Boom Boom is very clean and polished and all. But within this electro-sugar-pop style, it sounds just perfect! The song will be out in three days but you can already download it for few days in this post. It is the first excerpt of her next album Color the trees (out in April).
If I found interesting the dark sound of her latest record If I were a melody (2008), I tend to prefer the shiny songs of her first album Madame Madame (2006). To me Boom boom boom shows the great return of Firefox AK. It manages to keep the Two From Her best previous record: the electro beats and the pop melodies. Will everybody like it. I think The song is built to Reach The charts.

Admittedly, he did a good job with the first album Lykke Li , but in general, I find that the disks that are too specific products on them (the worst kind in the last remaining Sarah Blasko Album) .

Of course, Boom Boom Boom is very clean and polished and everything you want. Remains within that kind of electro-pop-sweet, very convincing!
