Place To Have Baby Shower Austin

Akhenaton: "We Luv In New York, we find the modern elements that have marked my career and that of Faf "

It's been several interviews about Me-Label, you evoked loss of your pleasure. Do you split for We Luv New York?
Akhenaten: On this album, I enjoyed it because with Faf, whatever the time of the mixtape project which then slid into an album, we ignore the issues. We were very simple in the selection of songs. A verse means ... We released him. A "16" difficult to ask ... We released him. It was done on instinct. Unfortunately, we had to remove pieces because samples during the transition from mixtape to album. We paid a few samples. Today, a sample is € 20 000 Use and Master Edition. Some even ask 8% royalties. You a sample of integrity, you work for them. It is time to find a balance because today we are not all equal to rap. Indeed, some U.S. rappers do not hesitate to put € 80 000 in a production. For We Luv New York, we had to remove nearly 50% of productions Kriss Buddha who handles with great skill the samples.
accounts you redo the solo album?
Akhenaten: I have many requests to see if I'm going back on a solo but I have to find the energy to do so. This is not related to non-commitment to music. I shut myself three months and it's done. But all that is around no longer pleases me because the mindset of permanent standoff me tired. That's why I did Me-Label although I am conscious of passing management of a large supermarket for growing vegetables. I am unable to say what will happen in the future. Make solo albums, it means ressigner by record label because I will not have the means to do it on Me-Label. I do not know if I want or must I meet the right people. I do not say "never."

I had the privilege to listen to some songs from We Luv New York and we feel a very technical project that leaves a place of honor at the punchline. Is this a project to cut the scene?
Faf Larage: What is strange is that we did not think writing in projecting on the scene. It is true that now we are in full rehearsals, we realize that we matter. After the album, there are nearly 50% of the pieces that are not égotrips and more focused on the text.
Akhenaten: We go on a tighter configuration on stage with Buddha on the MPC Kriss, DJ Daz the turntables and two MCs. He had to find ways to bounce on the show 1:40. In such training, the DJ has a prominent place in the show. It's party Daz!

With songs like "I'm not in," Is this the return of the funny bits?

Akhenaten: We Luv In New York, we find the modern elements that marked the career of Faf and mine. There is only one aspect of our personality that we will not find in the album is the storytelling. Indeed, the storytelling handheld camera "does not correspond to energy of the album. In the early days of recording, we realized that we had written extensively about the puncline and valve and fixed the shooting to avoid producing an album just turned on the valve.

On Generation, you evoked in excluded that fans Sad Hill would be filled with the next MRI. What does that mean?
Akhenaten: I can not say anything more specific because I have learned through experience that we should not dwell on subjects where this was not done ... The color of Sad Hill is still very special
Faf Larage: ... But it's true that they will be happy (laughs)!

What is your greatest memory of New York?
Faf Larage: From my side, I have two. The first time I went to New York, I took the first pictures of the city in the face while crossing the bridge and I had the impression of being in a film or series. Afterwards, I was not very marked my first trip to Harlem on 125th or strolling past the Apollo.
Akhenaten: I have a lot but I still marked by my first visit to the Latin Quarter Club where I was with all the artists and rap groups that I listened. I was dreaming and I realized that anything was possible. I turned my head ... I saw Just Ice, Run DMC, Eric B & Rakim. After I am quite nostalgic for New York that I knew when recording albums of AMI and the studios no longer exist today because they were replaced by boutiques.

Do you extend the concept of We Luv New York?
Akhenaten: Why not, but we concentrate for now on the output of this project. It's fun because people have not listened to the first one they are already talking to us afterwards. We are aware of this economy around project so we'll see but I remember that my career has been made as of surprises. I was ready to resume my studies at the output of the MIA and we predicted 100 000 albums sold for the release of the School ... So we'll see!

The rest of the interview: coming soon!
